Collaboration with Vitali Studio. Visual creation for a curated techno club night.

Radiation is aiming to be a techno night series curating artists, with a strong atten­tion on the creation of a joint essence in the plura­lity of their voices. Artists are chosen and briefed indivi­dually, in such a way, that they can resonate to each other and build a singular experience. On the 9th of February 2018, the first event took place in Berlin.

We were curated to create the visual world of the event. To resonate with radiating spirit, we used the terres­trial magne­tism as an inspi­ration and generated an evocative visual, which could possibly evolve within a series.

Creation of the logo and visual identity of the newly-opened café situated in the Aufbau Haus.

Recently built in Berlin, the Aufbau Haus combines cultural and creative industries, schools and shops in the form of a factory building. Located in the heart of the building, the café has a privileged position to take part to its vibrant and creative life.

In order to present the café as a dynamic partner on a daily basis, we developed an identity defined by a singular and sharp typeface as well as a set of playful stickers and icons. The lists and repetitions give the identity its rhythm and a flexibility that allows customers to understand and enjoy the space.

For Das Büro des Präsidenten. Realization of the annual reports of the Bundesverband Druck und Medien (2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018 editions). Concept, Layout & Infographic Design.

These editions had to fall within the design tendencies of the first report and fresh identity, both developed in 2014 by Das Büro des Präsidenten. While remaining in a series, slight changes in format & layout take their inspiration from newspaper and/or book formats. Fir the rest, the exercise consists mainly in highliting the most relevant informations of the past year in a strongh, recognizable way while staying fresh and avoiding monotony.

Creation and development of a visual universe for film screenings events.

The Ciné Club Nacht are night screenings taking place at home. Every projection brings together a few friends and all kinds of movies, from must-sees to the strangest suggestions of one member.

The posters relate to the tools used in the events themselves. While the visuals refer to the slight and perpetual motion of home-made fabric screens, the typography is an allusion to light projection, unfolding its full potential when lights are off.

Creation of the visual world of the Phosphene Tour, which took place in spring 2018 in Europe, with Einleit, |||MAURY|||, Jody Raar and Tigre contre Tigre.

Phosphene hosts four projects embodied by three electronic artists. Respectively from Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris, they decided to share the same stage and unveil a communal soundscape during this tour.

Phosphene, “lights under closed eyes”, is the vision directing the visual design elaboration, one immersive visual texture which have been declined on all the needed medium.

For Das Büro des Präsidenten. Creation of a visual signature for a independent porcelain designer.

In order to serve Susanna Setälä’s very personal approach to porcelain design and unique works, we needed to let her have control over her identity while giving it a defined atmosphere. We decided to compose a panel of stamps to get along with a strong typeface. The combination fulfiled nicely the need of a handcrafted and artistic sensation as well as a clear branding necessity. It also allow the artist to seize her identity.

Elaboration of the new year wishes under the motto “Good mood 2016”.

After the year 2015 we decided to work on a way to bring people closer and to stimulate a nice and positive attitude towards one another. As a studio sending wishes to clients and partners, we focused on work relations and offered an opportunity to spread good mood in the daily office life. We created not only a new year’s card, but also pre-printed post-its that need to be used in order to reveal the printed card. The post-it quotes were clearly intended to be used in the office and shared as positive thoughts. They encourage to reckon the good work of a colleague, share a lunch with another, to send one home after a productive day — to recognize people’s actions and value them.

Attempt to slide factual images, such as photography, into expressive and enigmatic images, in order to foster imagination.

As part of my Master’s thesis, I explored madness as a way to suggest alternatives & new perspectives by the use of little slides and gaps. The intention was to wake up the viewers and disrupt their expectations.

Attempt to switch the our viewpoint from factual to interpretation. The very personal and singular memories of one family on static paper appear distant for an external viewer, but becomes, through manipulation and mistreatment, a shared reminiscence. These ghost images turn into evocations that everybody can interpret, relating to strangers’ stories or echoing their own memories.
