For Das Büro des Präsidenten. Realization of the new identity of a Sekundar­schule situated in Berlin-Spandau.

The Wolfgang-Borchert-Schule is a school focused on the profes­sional orientation, as well as the personal develop­ment, of every student. The educational team accom­panies them individually in the develop­ment of their full potential in order to place each of them in a appropriate apprentice­ship or university.

In regard to their singular work with the students, an education which mix structure and freedom, we took inspiration from exercise school books to develop an identity based on a grid variation. Displayed as light backgrounds, they also are the base of every other elements, which gives them a peculiar touch. Thereby the typography abrupt & unfinished look tends to support singula­rity and experi­mentation. We lightened up the result by letting the second main elements, the forms, live outside the grids. It gives the concept flexibility and creates a duality between the structure to grow on and the liberated self expansion.

Creation of the logo and visual identity of the newly-opened café situated in the Aufbau Haus.

Recently built in Berlin, the Aufbau Haus combines cultural and creative industries, schools and shops in the form of a factory building. Located in the heart of the building, the café has a privileged position to take part to its vibrant and creative life.

In order to present the café as a dynamic partner on a daily basis, we developed an identity defined by a singular and sharp typeface as well as a set of playful stickers and icons. The lists and repetitions give the identity its rhythm and a flexibility that allows customers to understand and enjoy the space.

Proposal for a pitch for the conceptualization & design of the new platform reuniting the art schools in the French region Hauts-de-France.

The platform should help promote the variety and qualities of the arts curriculums proposed by the different schools. Therefore, the web-design starts with a clear approach focusing on the disciplines, but then allows the content to expand and unfold the details. On a design perspective, the playing with different typefaces allows a strong visual connection, while giving a singular look to each school — between unity and diversity.

Creation and development of a visual universe for film screenings events.

The Ciné Club Nacht are night screenings taking place at home. Every projection brings together a few friends and all kinds of movies, from must-sees to the strangest suggestions of one member.

The posters relate to the tools used in the events themselves. While the visuals refer to the slight and perpetual motion of home-made fabric screens, the typography is an allusion to light projection, unfolding its full potential when lights are off.

Creation of the identity of the solo musical project Non-Functional Harmony, as well as the design of its first Double-A-Side, “A.Mobilise – B.Heads, Hearts, Voices, Fists”.

Non-Functional Harmony defines itself as a techno & electronic soundscapes producer, with a particular love for noises and asperities. It was soon decided to let this love inspire the design. Based on the Bluu Next typeface, created by the Velvetyne Foundry, I developed a font full of glitches. Central element of the identity, the typeface has a strong design, but gives enough space for future releases to develop their own atmosphere.

The first Double-A-Side’s Design alludes to sound-waves as echoes from a protest.

For Das Büro des Präsidenten. Creation of a visual signature for a independent porcelain designer.

In order to serve Susanna Setälä’s very personal approach to porcelain design and unique works, we needed to let her have control over her identity while giving it a defined atmosphere. We decided to compose a panel of stamps to get along with a strong typeface. The combination fulfiled nicely the need of a handcrafted and artistic sensation as well as a clear branding necessity. It also allow the artist to seize her identity.

Creation of the logo, website and communication supports of a company offering process engineering solutions for chemical laboratory and industries.

The society was created by two chemical engineers, who wanted to offer their experience in project management and the realization of chemical engines. The identity was developed around the idea of base and fundament represented by three lines and a simple hidden ruler grid. Besides the allusion to the founders expertise, it gives the layout a clear structure, a spirit of responsibility and inspires trust.

Co-creation of a graphic designers club, whose aim was to visually react to soccer matches during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Each member was invited to develop a potential logo and to spon­taneously react to any of the matches. Thought as a light way to produce frequently and freely, it led to an exercise that allowed us to try and discover new graphic languages.
